Welcome
If you are interested in, passionate about, or geeked out on Oregon History, then we are glad you found this site. We are too. We hope you come to really enjoy this site.
At orhistory.com we are hoping to enable your cravings and carnal desires for all things Oregon. Listen in to Kick Ass Oregon History, our irreverent take on the great shit you didn’t know about The Beaver State. Join us for one of our Live Oregon History Events (there is usually locavore beer and spirits involved). Come along on one of our walking or bus tours. Links will abound and appear to multiply. You will read quality, unpublished prose that will contribute to your jonseing for the Beaver State.
This site is like one tasty taquito. Instead of filling your stomach, it just tends to accentuate your ravenous hunger. That’s us. We are that taquito. We aim to fulfill that initial impulse, but hope you will leave here on your own search, visiting sites around the state, reading books, talking to people.
Drop us a line, or join our Email List, so we can keep you up to date on our latest events and more!

I can assure you that Doug is *exceedingly* objective and rational…he just manages to pull it off with a liberal application of F-bombs, interspersed between cans of PBR and bong hits. Doug puts the “cad” in “academic.” – An Ass Kicker’s FB post, 7/5/2012
