Bushnell Trail Cam Experiments

By oregonhistorian · On October 25, 2014

So Max and Shawn and I are planning an expedition to the GP to see if we can find something that is often unseen. We are planning on deploying some trail cams on the expedition, so Max and I have begun to experiment. This page is intended for posting and sharing these expedition experiments only, and will not feature any material intended for publication. If you haven’t been sent a link to this page by one of the parties concerned, please Move Along. These Really Aren’t The Droids You Are Looking For…

Max and I plan to test this cam out a bit, day and night, and get a feel for the unit over the next few weeks. Then the plan is to mount one at Man Land for the winter, to get some REAL field testing.

Here are the First In The Field Trail Cam pics from the Bushnell Trophy Cam HD 8 MP.  [This link is a pretty damn good review of the camera.]  We hung it on an animal trail on a spot we go to up north of Goldendale. When you look at these photos and videos, note the camera name, the temperature (on still shots) and the time on the bottom of each frame. The settings we used were 3 quick stills and 10 seconds of video.

You might be able to see the camera placed in the photo below. Look closely!

We hung a panoramic camera when we went up, so hopefully will have some cool shots from that. The two camera point at each other, so we could get some cool action from the beasts.
