Old Timey Bars Kick Ass Bus Tour 11/14/2013

Bar Tour
***SOLD OUT***   ***This Tour has Sold Out***   ***SOLD OUT***
So we made a podcast a while ago called “Old Timey Bars.” And since it was so much fun to produce, we decidedcascadia cruiser to reenact that mofo! Kick Ass Oregon History… Where The Podcasts Come To Life!
On November 14th, 2013 at 6:15pm, we are going to meet in The Jack London Bar, and begin our most Historic of Portland’s Old Timey Bars tours. The Cascadia Cruser,  will meet us at the Jack London, and then transport us to our various, undisclosed locales about town. The Resident Historian, Doug Kenck-Crispin, will convey factoids and fun filled stories about the early drinking days of our drunkard city. Oh – and did I mention that we will enjoy some complimentary malted beverages from Laurelwood Brewing? Our last stop will be in downtown Portland, so I very much encourage everyone to take the Tri-Met or Radio Cab to and from the tour.
We will-
  • Visit some famous Portland “Ghost Bars” – places that were once thriving, shit kicking palaces of drunkenness, but are no more.
  • Take a field trip to Eastside Distilling, and get a in person distiller’s tour and learn how they make Burnside Bourbon! [It’s like when your fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Snotgrass, took you to the Franz Bakery – but this place has booze!]
  • Get a chance to visit some current Old Timey Bars that just haven’t changed that much in the past few decades – and as we drink in these establishments, we will revel in our own form of “Historic Preservation.”

What is the cost? Only $30! That covers the cost of the bus, the Kick Ass Historical presentations, and some pretzel sticks. Oh yes, and said malted beverage on the bus as well! You will be responsible for purchasing your own beverages at the bars we visit.

If that sounds like your idea of a fun and informative way to spend a Thursday night, click on the “Buy Now” button right down yonder….

***SOLD OUT****

If you think this sounds like a horrible time, I think you should click this link right here.

THE FINE PRINT! No Cancellations!!! All sales are final. This is a limited number event, so if you buy a seat and cancel, some other Ass-Kicker won’t be able to come. Your sale is final!

YOU MUST BE 21! Bring an Oregon or other US STATE ID, or your Passport.

DO NOT DRIVE HOME! Take the bus, MAX, streetcar or a Radio cab. Have a sober friend drive you home. Do not drive!

If YOU make a mess on the bus, and we incur additional cleaning fees, YOU will be charged that full amount. By your purchase, you agree to this shit…

YOU MUST HAVE FUN! (ok – you don’t HAVE to have fun… but you should!)

Hoping you’ll join us!

Thanks to our co-sponsors, Cascadia Cruiser and Laurelwood Brewing for their generous support with this tour.
