Historic Portland Rock and Roll Walking Tour FREE! 4.16
Portland Center Stage at the Armory approached us to host a rock and roll walking tour in conjunction with their new show, Wild and Reckless; A New Concert Event with Blitzen Trapper. So that’s what we’re going to do, and we’d like you to join us! The tours, KAOH’s Historic Portland Rock and Roll Walking Tour, are on the next three Sundays, at 12:00pm. They are FREE!, and you can just select “Going” on their Facebook page – here is the link: April 16th. AND… Portland Center Stage is offering a $10 discount to you Ass Kickers, to Wild and Reckless, as well as Lauren Weedman Doesn’t Live Here Anymore. Just go to their ticketing site, pcs.org and enter the promo code “KICKASS”. Ten bucks off – just like that! The shows run through April 30th, 2017. I hope you will join us on these fun, free tours. The Great Flood of 1894 Portland Walking Tour
Hope you can join us for our annual Great Flood of 1894 Walking Tour! June 2017 is the 123rd anniversary of The Great Flood of 1894, which saw the Willamette River reach its record height at 33 feet. Kick Ass Oregon History's Doug Kenck-Crispin will host his annual Great Flood Field Trip; visiting the sites, bringing along the old photographs, and talking all about it! We will position ourselves RIGHT where the original photo was taken, and look at the changes that have occurred over the last 123 years. And, of course, talk about that Great Flood of Biblical proportions, and the effect those waters had on Portland. More details and tickets are available right HERE. Paint Your Wagon at the Hollywood Theater
***EDIT! Our November 2017 viewing at the Hollywood theater in Portland had some great press, including KATU, KPTV 12, and one of the selected events of the week from the Portland Mercury! Come join us at the Hollywood Theater for a big screen viewing of "Paint Your Wagon!" KAOH is assisting Oregon Film in getting the word out, and we'll have a podcast about the movie around November 10th. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the Baker Heritage Museum - and they'll be bringing ephemera from the film to the Hollywood screening, and maybe even Lee Marvin's pants!
