Portland Treasure Chart Field Trip

Have you checked out our latest podcast? It's all about the storied Portland Treasure Chart and some of the latest theories on this treasure horde. JB Fisher, Kelly Hatmaker and I have been looking into it, based on some ideas that JB had. And we'd like to share them with you! On Sunday, August 9th, at 1:00pm, we will meet on the Park Blocks in front of the Oregon Historical Society (1200 SW Park)  The Resident Historian will chat about the history of the Treasure Chart. Then, everyone will get in their own cars and we will caravan to the Pike Cemetery, just outside of Yamhill (about 48 miles, not 2, from Portland). Once we meet at the cemetery, JB Fisher and Kelly Hatmaker will tell you why they think that this is the cemetery detailed in the Portland Treasure Chart. There are hella old graves in the cemetery, so we will have supplies for you to do grave stone rubbings. Oh - and we'll have some cold beers too!
