We have a Kick Ass weekend in Astoria coming up in May, and I’m hoping you can join us!
On the evening of Saturday, May 5th, Resident Historian Doug Kenck-Crispin will be presenting at the Labor Temple Bar (934 Duane, Astoria), talking about the battleship USS Oregon. 120 years ago this May, this ship became famous for it’s unprecedented 15,737 mi. cruise from San Francisco, through the Strait of Magellan at the bottom of South America, and then up to the coast of Florida in just 66 days. The Oregon then fought in the Spanish-American War in Cuba and earned the title “Bulldog of the Navy.” More details about the event are right HERE.
And on Sunday, May 6th at 11:00am, we’re hosting a Hungover History of Astoria Trolley Tour on Old 300 – which cruises along the Riverwalk, right on the Columbia River. DKC will narrate the hungover tour, and to help with any pounding you may have in your head, we’ll have a complimentary Bloody Mary (for those 21+), thanks to our awesome, local event sponsors, Wild Roots Spirits and Portland Bloody Mary Mix! All for just $12! Cause how else you gonna spend a Sunday in Astoria other than day drinking and riding a sweet old gem stuffed full of Oregon History… Only 40 tickets will be available for this hour long tour – Get Your Tickets HERE.
