Join Resident Historian Doug Kenck-Crispin at Art Market PDX (1125 SE Grand Ave) at 7:00pm on Tuesday 6/26 for an evening of the talking of the history. The topic will be The Great Flood of 1894, and the June that the Willamette rose to its highest level in recorded history. AND to go along with the talk will be a huge pile of Old Timey photos (circa 1894, to be precise) of the said flood, projected on the screen! We’ll get a chance to examine some historic streets and legendary buildings – a few that are still standing, engulfed and inundated with the Willy’s waters. A classic show for a historic anniversary!
