It’s the Original, “Original” Portland Weed Bus Tour!
THIS is the ONLY Oregon event that made Marijuana Times‘ 2016 ULTIMATE 4/20 Events list! The Oregonian called the tour out as one of 20 Ways to Celebrate 4/20/2016, Leafly listed it as the Number One thing to do in Portland on 4/20, and KPTV 12 even did a TeeVee broadcast on said tour.
ORHistory is pleased to host another 4/20 bus tour, examining the history of marijuana in Oregon. And we are so very happy to announce that the Cascadia Cruiser will once again be our chariot for the evening! April 20th, the international day of ganja smoking and celebration, will naturally be the date of the tour. Base Camp Brewing Company and Collective Awakenings are also awesome co-sponsors of this event!
We will be beginning our tour in the mezzanine of The Rialto Poolroom (529 SW 4th Ave). The Cascadia Cruiser will meet us there, and then ferry us about our fine city, visiting historic weed locations along the way. We will ALSO enjoy malted beverages while on the bus – just to make sure everyone is in the chill mood, mane…
Highlights of this tour will include:
1) a visit to some serious hippie day locations. Fuckin’ Far Out, Man!
2) a stop at the Collective Awakenings dispensary, to buy some legal smoke AND get a chance to chat with the owner Alex about the business of legal weed in Oregon.
3) Discussions about WHY weed is such a cultural phenomenon WHERE we live. Cause it is, man…
