We’re very excited to announce that Innovative Housing is down with us giving tours of the Erickson Building! This was the location of August Erickson’s fabled 684 foot bar, which has now been remodeled into affordable housing units. Resident Historian Doug Kenck-Crispin worked on the public art project inside the building, and he will be leading the tour – telling you about the history of the storied establishment, and how the art tells that story, but also the mythology of the most famous bar in the world. Oh – and you’ll get to see the piss trough too! (but you can’t pee in it…) The Erickson’s Saloon Walking Tour is only $12.50! Each tour will be limited to just 15 attendees. This tour will be on NOVEMBER 21ST, 2PM. We will meet at the parking lot just north of Oregon Leather at NW 2nd and Davis (the SW corner of the intersection).
